These Seams Remain Open

Seams to gouge,
A salt sewn suit,
Stitched to the ice and dirt,
Cold fingers,
And even colder toes,
My tattered,
My soiled,
And my torn,
It offends thee,
Like scar tissue,
Deep,
As fresh wounds,
I must return,
It is in my nature.
